A safe future through expertise: Functional safety & cybersecurity - Symposium 2024

As a long-standing expert in the field of functional safety, ELESTA is delighted to be taking part in TÜV Rheinland's renowned symposium ‘Functional Safety & Cybersecurity in Industrial Applications’, which will be held in Cologne on 24 and 25 September 2024. Since 1994, this symposium has provided a platform for sharing expertise and discussing the latest developments in automation technology.

The increasing complexity of software and hardware in safety-relevant systems and the rapid pace of digital innovation are challenging engineers and specialists to keep up to date at all times. The combination of functional safety and cybersecurity will play a decisive role in the coming years. This is precisely where the symposium comes in. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their expertise, network and take away new ideas for their work.

As ELESTA, we are particularly looking forward to sharing our experiences and findings on the topic of ‘Service life of machines and systems in functional safety’ on the second day of the symposium. The focus will be on clarifying which measures need to be taken when the service life of the functional unit of a machine or system ends and which risks need to be taken into account. This includes the question of what further measures can be taken to responsibly extend the service life.

In addition to the presentations, the symposium also offers an accompanying exhibition where leading manufacturers, service providers and consultants present their latest products and technologies. The event offers you the ideal opportunity to find out about current trends and meet potential business partners.
If you work in automation technology, whether as an engineer, manager or safety expert, then you should not miss this event. You will gain valuable impulses for your daily work and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with international experts.
